Ductal® is part of the Lafarge Group's new generation of added-value concrete products. For the past twenty years, alongside the Lafarge research centre and contributions from Bouygues and Rhodia, over 15 multi-disciplinary university teams and a large number of industrial partners have contributed to research into understanding and modeling the different aspects of Ductal® materials: mechanical, physicochemical, deployment and durability.

The result is a material that combines exceptional performance at every level:

• Resistance that is six to eight times greater than that of conventional concrete for compression and ten times greater for flexion.
• Ductility, with extraordinary capacities for stretching, extension, curving and deformation.
• Modified rheology: extremely fluid with pouring properties that are as yet unrivaled.
• Resistance to corrosion, abrasion and impacts that is tens of times greater than that of conventional concrete.

And today, numerous joint project agreements are underway with the most prestigious French, European and North American universities with the aim of tapping into the full, extraordinary potential of this concrete for all aspects of its performance capabilities.
