Architect

Lafarge works closely with architects using Ductal®; first by validating the technical relevance and then, secondly, by custom formulating the best Ductal® product for their particular application.
The next steps include approval of the technical feasibility of the project and a preliminary study.

Lafarge will also assist with pre-dimensioning the project, working with the engineering department or project manager to analyze the stress loads and means of assembly.
This work is most often carried out in a collaborative effort between the design team the precast supplier.

Moving straight to the pre-costing phase based on the type of applications to be built (façade structures, civil engineering works, street furnishings, etc.).
At this stage, the architect can prepare his tender specifying the use of Ductal® for a private contract or a fiber-reinforced ultra-high performance concrete for a procurement contract.
