Applications and references
Ductal®’s qualities open the door to an infinite variety of innovative applications in civil engineering, structural reinforcement, contemporary architectural works and Design.
Several projects have already put Ductal® to use, providing valuable references.
LUNA coffee table made of Ductal®

With a perfect balance, LUNA tables, the newborn item of the Atelier TAPORO, lay gracefully in the Zebra Square lounges (famous Parisian restaurant).
The rounded shell of LUNA coffee table made of Ductal® has been designed in two dimensions (2 m and 2.5 m long) by the interior designer Alix de Dives.
The fineness and fluidity of this ultra high performance concrete allowed Taporo executing this oblong shape with a mineral aspect recalling a pirogue.
The Glenmore/Legsby pedestrian overpass

The Glenmore/Legsby pedestrian overpass is a single span, 53 m bridge stretching across 8 lanes of traffic, with two cantilevered, high performance concrete abutments and a drop-in, 33.6m T-section Ductal® girder. Installation was completed in just 8 hours.
With its superior surface finish, excellent resistance to harsh weather and low maintenance requirements, this bridge is considered a technical, aesthetic feat and a model for structures that have to withstand tough climates.

Three new clinker silos were built to upgrade the Joppa cement manufacturing facility in Illinois, USA. Two of the silos had conventional steel roofing, whereas the third was completed with Ductal®.
Structures

Anchor plates on Reunion Island
The project at Reunion Island involved stabilizing a retaining wall on the water’s edge, the entire length of the coastal road. The original support structure which reinforced the roadway, was built of precast building slabs and badly damaged.
