Le Pont du Diable : A thin footbridge made of Ductal®
In the heart of the Gorges de l'Hérault in the south of France, the Pont du Diable footbridge combines fineness, lightness and discretion.
This 70m length and 1.8 width footbridge is made out of Ductal® (BFUHP). It is constituted of 15 arch stones pre-manufactured in the plant with the same mold.

Ductal® for Tokyo's Haneda Airport
Tokyo's Haneda Airport has reached full capacity on its three runways. The construction of a fourth runway will make it possible to open up new international connections for the capital. Emerging from the sea, an ultra modern pier on submerged piles will be entirely covered with Ductal® slabs fixed on steel girders.
Resistance to freezing, the degree of impermeability, the capacity to resist salt abrasion, as well as the lightness of the materials shaping the slabs were the criteria that led to the choice of an ultra-high peformance concrete.
The company Taiheiyo, licensed by Lafarge, undertook to supply the airport site with Ductal® for the next two years. A project to watch !
